TÜSİAD held the last High Advisory Council meeting of 2011 in Ankara
TÜSİAD held the third and the last High Advisory Council meeting of 2011 at Ankara Sheraton Hotel on December 9, 2011.
At the meeting, President of TBMM Cemil Çiçek made a speech as the guest of honor, and the opening speeches were made by Erkut Yücaoğlu, Chairman of TÜSİAD High Advisory Council and Ümit Boyner, President of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD.
Erkut Yücaoğlu, Chairman of TÜSİAD High Advisory Council, mentioned the works on Constitution during his speech. Yücaoğlu mentioned that democratization could be continued at the level of laws while the works on Constitution are continued, and emphasized that the political reforms should be supplemented with a peaceful foreign policy. Ümit Boyner, President of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD, stated that the legal amendments, which will obviate the developments that began to stick like a stain of rust on Turkey's image as a country that rapidly becomes free and democratic and left its mark on the last decade, should be made, while the Constitution is prepared on the other hand. President of TBMM Cemil Çiçek gave information about the ongoing works on Constitution, and he stated that they want to make a new Constitution, not write a new Constitution.
