TÜSİAD believes that voluntary based professional-social establishments organised at a local, regional and national level undertake a pioneering role in the creation of a conscious and participatory society. In this scope, TÜSİAD holds activities for the establishment of a closer and consistent communication with these organisations and the forming of policies that will provide an alleviation of developmental differences among the regions. Regional Development and Relations with Business Organizations and NGO's Committee also deals with regional development policies that bear an importance in the context of the efficient participation of sustainable growth and local potentials on the growth process.

The Committiee’s activities in the body of the General Secretariat are carried out under the coordination of Muharrem YILMAZ, Board Member of TÜSİAD. The activities are essentially carried out in a framework of cooperation with Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED) and the regional and sectoral federations affiliated to TÜRKONFED.

TÜRKONFED aims to contribute to the development of regional, sectoral and national economic policies as the collective voice of regional and sectoral industrialists’ and business federations and to establish a common working ground with a view to bringing the problems concerning the business world as well as proposals for their solutions to the attention of the public and competent authorities.

TÜSİAD is a member of one sectoral and six regional federations that are members of TÜRKONFED.
