External Relations & EU Affairs Committee contributes to the shaping of TÜSİAD’s views, policies and activities concerning the relations with global and regional organisations, EU membership process, Turkey’s foreign trade policies and its relations with the USA, Far East Asia and regional economies.

The Committee does not only regularly keep track of relations with the relevant employer organisations in foreign countries but it also coordinates relations with TÜSİAD representative offices abroad and enables the conducting of common activities.

The Committee works closely not only with TÜSİAD’s other Committees but also with BUSINESSEUROPE and other EU institutions regarding the situation of the EU harmonization process. External Relations Department supports the Committee’s activities. The Committee, chaired by TÜSİAD Board Member Volkan VURAL, has one working group entitled Foreign Trade & Customs Union.
